Adult Depression

A major depression is characterized as a period of at least two weeks of an excessively low mood. Depression is described as feeling sad, hopeless, or discouraged. With depression, people may also experience several of the following symptoms:

  • Trouble falling asleep, staying asleep or sleeping too much
  • Loss of interest or pleasure in normal activities
  • Feeling tired or having little energy
  • Changes in appetite or weight
  • Feeling restless or irritable
  • Trouble concentrating, remembering, or making decisions
  • Feelings of worthlessness or guilt
  • Thoughts of suicide or death

If you experience some or all of these symptoms, you may be suffering from depression.

Qualified adults, age 18 and older that participate in this research study will receive monetary compensation, study-related medical evaluations, psychological assessments and investigational study drug at no cost.
